They were all influential in my life of learning to become an entrepreneur and escape the dreaded rat race once and for all.
The first on the list Tony Robbins helped me to discover that I wanted more out of life than to just work for some corporate job all my life.
It’s fine if that’s what you want to do, but I always wanted more out of life and honestly, I’m not the type of person that likes to be tied to a desk or certain set of rules that society says you have to follow in order to be successful.
I knew these “Rules” are BullShit because I knew people that weren’t following them making an exciting living doing something they enjoyed and not working all that hard either.
I started some side hustles before making the complete jump out of corporate America. Some of them flopped and others were taking off.
Although it wasn’t enough for me to go at it full time yet. And I was very eager to push this to a full-time lifestyle as fast as possible. I needed to tweak what I was doing.
Which leads me to the next person on my list Napoleon Hill he is responsible for changing the lives of many people for the better.
If you have read his famous book Think And Grow Rich. You know that it is loaded with good information.
I followed the advice of a peer and listened to it every day for a year. And little by little it was transforming the way I thought and acted in a very positive way.
Instead of seeing the negative in life I started to change my attitude to one of gratitude and focus more on what I wanted and less on what I didn’t want.
What I learned from a year of consistently listening to Think And Grow Rich turned my side hustle into a full-time business.
It was funny because my peers at work noticed a change in me too and some were intimidated by it.
Probably because I was now about to leave them and that job behind and for good.
It’s strange how once you begin to become successful and reach your goals how old friends and colleagues want to keep you down in the gutter with them.
Most of my past careers have been in sales or marketing and I’ve listened to plenty of sales guru’s some of which I could care less for and others had good information.
One of those sales trainers is Jeffrey Gitomer he has a number of books you can pick up along with audio books if you’re not a reader.
He has a good sense of humor which makes the information more fun to listen to and use in daily life.
One of the many skills you definitely need to be a successful entrepreneur is sales and I have always continued to learn from those I look up to with training that has made me more money.
